Description
It has the basic form of a ‘road march’ rather than a concert march. Strong melodic lines open the piece, then a solid bass subject is added. The trio section gives a chance for the melody to take on a more sustained character. A short fanfard bridge takes you to the trio melody once again, but in a more majestic tone.
